Edge Sidewinder
The Edge Sidwinder makes a
great buggy project and has fully independent front
suspesion and monoshocks rear suspension, which
combined gives very good handling over all types of
off road surfaces at high speeds.
  
This design from the Edge is one of the
most nimble and compact of all the designs available
and makes a great fun off road vehicle.
Buggy
is designed to be powered by a 350cc - 650cc single
cylinder enduro or motocross bike motors which are mounted
besides the driver. Top speeds in
excess of 120kph can be obtained and 0 - 100kph times
in 6.5 seconds.
Front Suspension is a very basic and simple
Single ‘A’ Arm with motorcycle Mono-shocks. Rear suspension is
a swingarm system with a solid axle and single motocross
Mono-shock.
Drive system is via chain from the
motor to the Axle, the motor’s sprocket being positioned
inline with the suspension arm pivot point for reliable
and precise chain tension. Steering is via a car-type
Rack & Pinion to eliminate bumpsteer and give precise
control on rough terrain.
